We know what it takes to add value to a property, and how to complete renovations on-time and on-budget. This gives us the ability to accurately project returns, manage risk, and deliver on our promises.
Our Process.
We do all the legwork to find great deals on real estate properties with significant upside potential. We leverage our vast network of personal relationships, including brokers and ownership groups, to identify opportunities that will bring value to our investors. Then we exhaustively analyze the deal, drawing on our extensive construction and investment experience to determine if the deal aligns with our value-add strategy and the ability to generate revenue for our capital partners with asset repositioning.
Once we decide an asset is right for the McKENZIE portfolio, we get after it — negotiate the sale contract, perform due diligence, obtain financing, dot every “i” and cross every “t” until the asset is legally the property of our investor group.
We stay in close contact with the Asset and Property Management teams on the ground to make sure we are managing tenant satisfaction while setting the tone for the better standard of living we intend to create for current and new renters. Our on-site visits and frequent reporting help us to ensure the asset is performing and we are on track to achieve or exceed our projections.

Every value-add is backed up by data to either 1) increase operating income, or 2) lower operating expenses … the two ingredients of a higher net operating income (NOI).
